AirRobot Australasia Pty Ltd (ARA) - Who are We?

Started by a group of investors in 2007. The investors are all experienced businessmen enthusiastic about the range of Unmanned Aircraft and Sensor technologies now available to the commercial marketplace.

The investors, as enthusiasts, decided that to properly service the market they must operate the best available aircraft for the task and undertook an extended investigation and research of what was available in the marketplace.

This research showed that the increasingly available  more sophisticated and specialised vehicles although more capable required larger investments in personnel and systems and most significantly were not making the gains estimated from simplicity and unmanned characteristics the proposers claimed. The technology and  operation had become increasingly complex as manufacturers strove to be all things for all people particularly as manufacturers strove to meet the military market and complexity replaced simplicity.

The market research confirmed that there was a large and unfulfilled market for an UAV that could be easily deployed, operated by personnel with minimum training and provide first responders, police and rescue organisations alike with a situational overview using the latest technology to make it simple not more complicated.

Fortunately the research identified the quadrotor VTOL as the UAV that best met our target vehicle in both performance and operating characteristics. Due diligence was carried out with English Police forces who were trialling the vehicle, Military commands which were testing this form of UAV and then with the  manufacturers of the vehicles.

ARA selected the units manufactured by AirRobot GmbH & Co KG as superior and was able to negotiate a partnership agreement for the operation and sales of the AirRobot range in the Australasian marketplace. The parent company is in the forefront of developing, manufacturing and delivering a UAV range that will meet and surpass the requirements for a simple and easy to operate UAV that can be quickly deployed.

The partnership will furnish the best available technology to provide service to the many entities, institutions and government departments that wished to avail themselves of the service but do not want to own and operate systems well outside their core functions.
